The First of Many
Here's the finished test Skitarii Ranger for your enjoyment! He was a fun one to paint albeit a little tricky sometimes (fiddely bitz and all). Only downside; I had to free hand all the markings on his robe and will have to do that again for the rest of the lot *gulp*.
I did give em a Martian base although he's actually from the Forge World Metalica and their planet has a metal surface. But I thought a red underground would contrast the white robes better and his metalic feet would also be better visible.
Anyways! Enjoy the pictures.
Nice! Maybe get a little bit of the red dust up onto his boots and bottom of his cloak to tie him to the base. Not a lot just a subtle dusting :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Zab! Lol It was my intent to give him some red dirt but I totally forgot about it! Thanks for the reminder. Will give him some nice drybrushing!
DeleteBeautiful work! The colours contrast very nicely, and your freehand details on the cloak are great. The blue eyes almost seem to glow!
ReplyDeleteCheers Paul! :D
DeleteOnly the second painter I have seen going with the white style, really liking it, well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :D
DeleteThe painting skill on this is amazing. Great freehand and excellent use of contrast. It looks professional. Will you be able to keep up the quality on a whole army?
ReplyDeleteI do hope so haha! My biggest concern is the freehand to keep that consistent. :/ I do have a thing against bath painting as I always end up painting them individually so that might slow the process down. Ah well, we'll see.
DeleteObviously "bath" should be batch painting here xD
